What is the difference between 10K and 14K Gold?
In jewelry making gold is combined with other metals (aka alloys) to produce a more durable metal.
10K gold has a higher alloy content and is lighter in colour than 14K. 10K gold is generally chosen because it is very hard and resists dings and dents.
14K has a more yellow color as it is a higher purity of gold. It does ding and dent a little more often than 10K but polishes more easily because of its softer surface.
What is Lustrium?
Lustrium is a mixture of nickel and chromium. Its benefit is that it does not tarnish, while holding the luster and brilliance of more expensive metals. Lustrium is a much firmer metal than silver with a very high resistance to scratching and dents.
What is Solaris Elite?
Solaris Elite is a metal allowy that contains 25% gold content (6 parts out of 24k gold). This radiant yellow 6K metal alloy combines durability and affordability.
