Immediate Access
Immediate Access provides students with first-day access to their required resources through Avenue to Learn at a discounted price. A student will have everything they need to be successful in their course as soon as they have access to their course shell in Avenue to Learn.
- How do I know that my course is participating?
In addition to the information provided by your instructor on Avenue to Learn, the Campus Store will:
- Email you at the start of the term to make sure you have all the information you need.
- Email you a reminder before the IA options deadline.
- List your course as an Immediate Access course in our course materials listing online.
- What if I don’t want to participate? How do I opt out?
Remove or reinstate your access to your materials through your personalized booklist. You will receive an email confirming that you have successfully removed or reinstated your access.
If you don’t receive this email, it’s possible that your action was not recorded. Please try again to ensure that your choices are reflected in your booklist.
- Can I get a refund?
Immediate Access materials are not charged to your student account until after the drop and add period and the IA options deadline have passed. While digital materials are final sale, refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for students who have withdrawn from the course after the add/drop deadline or have other extenuating circumstances.
- I was charged, but didn’t have access to my resources.
You must access your materials through Avenue to Learn before the IA options deadline. If you did not do this, please get in touch with the Immediate Access team for assistance from the publisher.
- I was charged, but I removed my access.
Students who have not removed their access by the deadline will be charged for their materials. If you removed your access and have been charged, please forward the confirmation email to the Immediate Access team for further investigation.
- I removed my access, but I now want access to the resources.
The IA options deadline has not passed: Change your choice in your booklist. You will receive an email confirming that you have reinstated your access.
The IA options deadline has passed: Contact the Immediate Access team for assistance – you will be provided with a way to access your materials, but the special pricing may not apply.
- Can I purchase these materials in a physical format?
Possibly. Not all materials are available in a physical format. If your IA materials are available in a physical format, they’ll be listed as an option in your booklist.
- When and how will I be billed for Immediate Access materials?
We process Immediate Access charges by billing your student account after the IA Options deadline. The following are guidelines for when you can expect to see the charge on your Mosaic statement. Payment is due 30 days after the charge is posted to your account:
- Fall Term: late September / early October
- Winter Term: late January / early February
- Spring Term: May
- Summer Term: July
- Will I receive a record of the charge?
Yes, you will receive an emailed receipt and confirmation of the charge. If you’ve been charged and don’t see this confirmation and receipt, check your junk mail folder.
