Tips for Buying the Right Scrubs for Your Program
Being comfortable while maintaining a professional appearance with a well fit uniform is important. When you visit the Health Sciences Campus Store you will find samples try on to make sure you buy the correct fit.
Choosing the Right Size Scrubs
Scrubs should be loose enough for you to move and bend easily, yet tight enough that they will not get in your way while working.
Your top should not gap in the front when you bend over, ride up showing your stomach and should be long enough that when you bend over you don't end up showing off your underwear.
Scrub pants should fit well around the waist. Again they should be loose enough to be comfortable but snug enough that they won't slip down when you bend over. Your pants should not drag on the floor (consider safety and hygiene). It is important to be cautious of the pant length however, you can have the pants hemmed up if necessary. We suggest that you wear the shoes that you will most frequently wear when trying on your scrubs or getting fitted for alterations.
When choosing a scrub remember first and foremost that you are a Health Care Professional and a professional appearance is important to the way people perceive you.
